MiniJack

The MiniJack beta

Use MiniJack with your own music and your own server for a while, and tell us what doesn't work.

Join the beta

How to join

  1. Install TestFlight from the App Store.
  2. Write to minijack@kiwiprojekt.pl with the email address you use for your Apple Account. You'll get an invitation from TestFlight.
  3. Open the invitation on your iPhone or iPod touch and tap Accept.
  4. Install MiniJack from TestFlight, open it, and add your files or your server.

You need an iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 15 or later.

What to try

  • Add your server and let the first sync finish, especially with a large library.
  • Play live albums and mixes you know well, and listen to the joins.
  • Download albums, go offline, and play them on a train or in the car.
  • Use the queue across devices: start on one, continue in another Subsonic client.
  • If you have an iPod touch, use it there. That's the device MiniJack is made for.

Sending feedback

Take a screenshot in MiniJack and TestFlight offers to send it with a note. Or write to minijack@kiwiprojekt.pl. Say what you did, what happened and what you expected, with your device, iOS version and server type. If MiniJack crashes, TestFlight asks whether to send the report; please do.

What isn't there yet

  • CarPlay.
  • Ogg Vorbis files on the device. From a server they play, as MP3.
  • Supysonic, which needs a password sent in the clear.
  • Lyrics, podcasts, internet radio, an equalizer.

After the beta

Builds from TestFlight stop working 90 days after they're uploaded; a newer build replaces them. When MiniJack is released, it will be a free download with an hour of listening, then a one-time purchase to keep it. No subscription.

Privacy in the beta

MiniJack itself collects nothing. TestFlight gives us the feedback and crash reports you choose to send, and your name and email if you were invited by email. Details in the privacy policy.
