MiniJack

Privacy policy

Updated 2026-10-14

MiniJack collects no personal data. Below is what the app, TestFlight and this site do with data.

Who publishes the app

MiniJack is published by Michał Sadurski, the controller of the data described here. Contact: minijack@kiwiprojekt.pl.

The app collects no data

MiniJack has no accounts and no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting tools. We receive nothing about what you play, search for or store.

Your servers

MiniJack connects only to the servers you add. It sends them what a music app has to: your username with a signed token or API key, and requests for your library, covers and songs. It also sends what you choose to share with your server: plays (scrobbles), stars, ratings, playlist changes and your play queue. These requests go straight from your device to your server; we are not in between and never see them. Whoever runs the server decides what it keeps.

What stays on your device

The copy of your library, your local playlists, play history used for Recently played, the queue, downloads and settings are stored on your device, and only the app reads them. Server passwords and API keys are kept in the iOS Keychain. Deleting the app deletes its files; iOS may keep Keychain items after an app is deleted, so remove your servers in MiniJack first if you want them gone.

Permissions

MiniJack asks for access to your Music library only if you choose to play songs synced to the Music app, and for local network access so it can reach a server at home. You can change both in the iOS Settings app.

Apple

You get MiniJack through TestFlight or the App Store, under Apple's terms and privacy policy. In the beta, TestFlight gives us the crash reports and feedback you choose to send, with your device model and iOS version, and the name and email address Apple has for you if you were invited by email. If you agree in your device's settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple gives us aggregate usage statistics and crash reports that don't identify you. Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.

This website

This site uses no cookies, analytics or third-party content; its fonts are served from this site. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to serve the pages and protect them from abuse (Cloudflare's privacy policy).

If you email us

We use your address and message only to answer you, and delete them once they're no longer needed for that. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare forwards email for this address to a mailbox provided by Google (Gmail).

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or its deletion, or object to its processing, by writing to minijack@kiwiprojekt.pl. You can also complain to the data protection authority of your country; in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

Children

MiniJack isn't directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and its date. If a version of the app were to start collecting data, this policy would say so before that version is released.
